ISRAEL PHOTOS IV -- Pilgrimage

Since early times many have risked life, fortune, and reputation to travel to Israel/Palestine in order to see first hand the land where Jesus taught his disciples the way of righteousness and was present for the miraculous healing of the sick and infirm.  The pages of this site contain the words of pilgrims who were able to publish accounts of their travels and whose books were yet in existence at the time I did research for this publication.  The research continued on the assumption that those who visited Israel/Palestine in search of the context of the Gospels might have seen something or received some inspiration.  At this time it is known there are errors and contradictions in the Bible, yet I continued to search for positive evidence for Gospel passages.  At times I was skeptical about some of them, yet found evidence that helped me understand these events were not as unlikely as I sometimes presumed.

As one lamp lights another, nor grows less, so nobleness enkindleth nobleness."  James Russel Lowell, 1819-1891
