These were lead net weights and tools for mending fishing nets from the Hellenistic-Roman era on display in the Tel Dor antiquities museum
The day before I had photographed a man repairing a net near the side of Joppa (Yafo-Tel Aviv) Harbor. I remembered the apostle Peter stayed in Joppa according to the book of Acts.
John and James were mending their nets by the Sea of Galilee when Jesus asked them to follow him
