Cave of Gethsemane
The Cave of Gethsemane is located to the right of the entrance to the "Tomb of Mary" across from the Church of all Nations near the foot of the Mt. of Olives.
The original cave entrance was sealed and the a place was carved for the door. The cave was found to contain a place to attach the beam of an olive oil press to the wall. The word Gethsemane meant, "Place of olive oil/oil press." There is an old tradition that Jesus' disciples were hiding in the cave while he kept watch at the present location of the Church of All Nations.
